Westrow

2013 was an incredibly busy time for Shortcuts client Westrow with the launch of its new educational academy. Housed on Briggate in the heart of Leeds, the 5,000 sq ft building heralds a new direction for the business, and aims to help raise the standards of hairdressing education throughout the industry.

Never ones to stand still, Westrow also opened its eighth salon on the salubrious address of Street Lane in North Leeds in December 2013. Headed up by Westrow Artistic Team Technical Director, Jenny Pelter, and Amy Lopez, the colour specialist salon will deliver on all aspects of hairdressing and looks set to be a firm favourite with its style savvy clientele looking for on-trend colour and superior style advice from its truly experienced staff.

Westrow, the north of England’s award-winning hairdressing group, now boasts eight salons located across Yorkshire alongside the academy. Established in 1987 by Steve Rowbottom and Marc Westerman, the group celebrated 25 years in business in April 2012.

Keeping one-step ahead in 2014, Westrow has collaborated with two local businesses. Harrogate-based food hall Weetons now offers a bespoke Westrow online order and delivery service to each of Westrow’s eight salons, while pop-up evenings are taking places at venues including Gaucho, where stylists from Westrow’s city centre salons will showcase their skills to a select audience including executive PA’s, concierges and gents.

2014 is also the year of technology for Westrow. A team of Tweeters and Facebook aficionados have been selected by Westrow to keep its fans informed of everything that’s happening with the brand and its newly launched Academy. Westrow is also in the process of putting the finishing touches to its stunning new website. Watch this space!
