Mad About Hair takes home Kérastase Best of the Best Award

Shortcuts would like to extend a huge congratulations to Tanya Howell and all the team at Mad About Hair for taking home the trophy at the recent Kérastase Best of the Best Awards. Mad About Hair competed with 130 other Kérastase salons throughout Australia to take out the title.

The Kérastase Best of the Best Awards recognises the superior image, service and product knowledge for which Kérastase is known.

Now in their second year, the Awards feature an extensive judging process including a visit by a "Mystery Client", a State Quiz Night, and a National Grand Final held at Melbourne’s historic Windsor Hotel on 11 October 2004.

Kérastase Paris General Manager, Debra Moglia, said the awards aim to "inspire and motivate Kérastase Consultant Salons to be the best they can be". "The awards are a business-building tool providing an opportunity for salons to refresh and refine their professional skills," Ms Moglia said. "The awards encompass all areas of running a successful salon including product knowledge, client service and merchandising."

Mad About Hair owner, Tanya Howell, said the staff was thrilled to be recognised as the best Kérastase salon in Australia. "I have owned three salons in my 18 years in the industry and to receive an award like this just shows our strategy of providing consistency and true professionalism is really working," Ms Howell said. With a salon mission statement of "An experience of quality and dedication through professionalism", perhaps Mad About Hair was destined to take home such an accolade. Winning an award based on business performance, Mad About Hair takes its hat off to Shortcuts for its invaluable assistance in managing the many demanding activities associated with running a salon. "We use the marketing function on a weekly and monthly basis and the reports on a daily basis. We also use the employee performance summaries, so we can see as individuals where we can improve." "The results have been amazing. The clients think it is fantastic and our non-return letters give us feedback on changes we may need to address within the salon." Well done Mad About Hair!
