I have had my initial training but want to learn more, what should I do?
There are several options, all designed to suit different business requirements and availability for training:
- Online training
- Bespoke training in the salon or spa
- Educational DVDs
- The Shortcuts Training Series
- Health Check
Training options can delve further into specific areas of Shortcuts such as Systems, Stock, Marketing and Reports) or can be developed specifically for your needs. For example a Health Check detects where businesses are using Shortcuts well and not so well, as well as benchmarking their business. So they can then receive tailored education that addresses that transforms their weaknesses into strengths.
I’m not so great with computers; will this be hard to set-up?
Shortcuts actually sets up the entire system for you as part of the start-up training and configuration. From inventory and service menus to employee capabilities and commissions, Shortcuts spends time with you to understand your business and customise your software. Shortcuts then install the system into your salon and deliver two days of training on-site.
Where do I receive my training?
All Shortcuts installation training is delivered in your salon or spa. The training is delivered methodically over two days. Shortcuts don’t just educate you on the software, but we demonstrate best business practices, so that Shortcuts is fully integrated into your business and how it works. You are also given an installation bag that has all sorts of reminders and cheat sheets in to ensure you always know what to do!
I have a new staff member, how can I train them on the Shortcuts system?Depending on the level of understanding necessary, you can select from a variety of choices. Educational DVDs are a great starting place, as they are easy to use and it is a great introduction to the Shortcuts software.Online training is another option and is fantastic for bite size training, and this is delivered by a Shortcuts accredited educator. For a more indepth solution bespoke education is a viable option. Here an accredited educator would step through what the new employee needed to know.
