The long-awaited Cobella at Selfridges opened In June, Living up to the Cobella renowned reputation of offering the most creative and forward thinking concepts to the industry, the new salon boasts a host of specialist services and first ever hairdressing innovations.

Cobella at Selfridges is designed with Specialist Zones, for separate areas of hairdressing expertise carried out by the Cobella Specialist Team.

For over a year, Anestis Cobella has put all his creativity and expertise into Cobella at Selfridges; his philosophy to offer beautiful, sexy, wearable hair, to every client who walks through the door has influenced the design of the whole salon. Communication with the client and extensive expertise are the keys to achieving this goal. The zones include the Colour Zone, the Consultation Zone, the Shine Zone, the Style Zone, the VIP Express Zone, the Shiatsu Zone, and the Interactive Retail Zone.

The Zones
The Colour Zone is designed to allow clients to experience the true look and feel of different hair colours. Anestis, in partnership with L’Oréal Professionnel, has designed a system of hair wefts, similar to mini ponytails in ninety different colours, which may be clipped into the client’s own hair. The wefts allow the colour technician to use their full creativity and vision in designing a new look, and they allow the client to explore colours they previously would not dare to try.

In the Cobella Consultation Zone the client is encouraged to speak about every aspect of their hair to allow the stylist to make an in-depth

analysis. The consultations are hands-on and three dimensional, rather than working from the client’s reflection in the mirror. The stylists assess everything from the condition of the hair, face and body shape, to personal style in dress and makeup. Completing the service, Cobella have compiled a database of hairstyle visuals, divided into easy to use categories, which can be accessed through the interactive i-vue screens at each station, ensuring perfect style selection.

The conditioning experts at the Cobella Shine Zone use the latest techniques and products for achieving shine and bringing hair back to life. The most beneficial ingredients such as marine and plant extracts are selected to impart moisture and shine. Hair is thoroughly cleansed, detoxed, penetrated with oils, vitamins and protein, and glossed for the ultimate shine.

The VIP Express Zone offers the chance to be pampered and preened like a true goddess. The hair stylist and beauty therapist work in unison for head to toe grooming. The zone has two beauty couches, perfect for hiring out for special occasions.

As we all know, the head and neck store a great deal of anxiety, which can be alleviated in the peaceful Shiatsu Zone, where calmness and well -being are restored to every client. Based on acupressure points, the massage stimulates the body’s energy flow, helping to strengthen the immune system and releasing toxins and deep seeded tensions as well as encouraging lustrous, strong hair.

A carefully chosen selection of the world’s top haircare products is available in the salon’s Interactive Retail Zone. Clients can browse the collection, test products out, watch demonstrations and make a choice at their leisure, to complete the Cobella at Selfridges experience.
