An Australian
“ bringing the
runways
back to the
streets” in
the Big Apple! |
In true Australian style, like Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe, Rodney Cutler
has made a huge name for himself in New York. His sleek,
minimalist salon design and
amazing reputation in this very
competitive market has made Cutler Salon a true destination for stylish New Yorkers.
There’s no better vote of confidence than a salon full of fashion models
entrusting you to their famous locks, CUTLER Salon books up to 25 models a day!
Who is Rodney Cutler?
Rodney Cutler offers clients an extensive and hands-on philosophy, which is
the foundation for his
successful business comprising two salons in New York. When Rodney Cutler isn’t
earning titles such as, New York Magazine’s Best Hairstylist for Men,
he’s training for ironman races and marathons, not to
mention raising twin boys!
To say that Rodney is busy would be an understatement. This is why his business
practices need to be rock solid! He doesn’t have time to fret over numbers,
or wonder why chairs are empty when there are clients waiting. So he turned
to Shortcuts, seeking a new system that would be properly utilized and applied
it to his business. Joining forces with Shortcuts has helped him bring his
customers back to where they belong, in the spotlight.
The Redken/Cutler Team
The CUTLER team loves when it’s “show” time because the eclectic
group of stylists and colourist can create hair designs to compliment, accentuate
and highlight each designer’s collection. The talented staff have executed
looks for
designers like Cynthia Rowley, Proenza Schouler, Vasseur Esquivel, Jeffrey
Chow, Jean Paul Gautier, James Thomas, Christina Perin, Oliver Christian Herald,
the list
goes on!
The salon’s Editorial Stylists, Joseph b., Gerardo de Maio, Ben Stewart,
Dallas Walsh, Pasquale Ferrante, Giovani, Ramie Roth and Danny Ricketts, all
style covers and spreads around the world working with magazines including
Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Jane, Nylon, Surface, The Face, ID, Australian
Vogue, Spin, Glamour, Maxim, Elle, Time Out New York, NY Times Magazine, Lucky,
Tatler and more.
Uptown Downtown Location
CUTLER’S funky staff, stylish
chrome and glass interior and groundbreaking haircuts can be found both uptown
and downtown New York. Cutler says of his staff, “We honour unpretentious
creativity, ingenuity in design, but most of all people, our staff and clients.
Our friendly, multicultural hairdressers and colourists come from the four
corners of the earth. They have
convened here to collaborate on new ideas and to envision
tomorrow’s looks today.”
CUTLER offers a jolt of fresh, artistic ideas executed by a 60 person staff
of energized, innovative and
motivated stylists and colourist. Signature techniques such as “Stitching” and
precision cuts
performed with straight-edged razors offer clients a completely new, hip and
creative experience.
It's the little things that count
Don’t expect to be rushed in and out, factory-style at CUTLER. Every
client will enjoy a complimentary (and knee-weakening) shoulder and back massage
during their visit. On busy days, relaxing hand massages are offered to clients
as they wait for their stylist.
Upon finishing their hair services, clients are offered a touch-up
makeup application from the salon’s in-house makeup artist, free of charge.
The Cutler philosophy centers around their clients; utilizing
technology and procedures to make their clients constantly feel like they are
on the top of each and
everyone’s minds. Rodney knows that the mentality in New York is always
time-centric, so he ensures that he makes the absolute most of his clients
time, employing
top-of-the-line staff from the
front desk all the way to
the back room.
