It is possible to add and use specific Client Barcodes for Shortcuts if the customer has a list of pre-printed barcodes as Shortcuts cannot currently print the barcodes for clients.

This means the Salon or Business can either purchase a pre-printed sheet of barcodes (minimum of 5 digits) or special pre-printed cards with barcodes and for example create special client “Club Cards” for those members of a certain club.

Note: The customer must have a barcode scanner connected.

Applying the barcode to the client card…

Step 1

When the client comes in select their card from the Client screen

Step 2
Highlight the current Barcode listed for this client and scan the Barcode you wish to apply. Once the barcode appears on screen hit Save and then Done.

Using the Client’s barcode to make an appointment…

Step 1

When the client comes in or telephones to make an appointment select the time of the appointment as normal till you get to the Select Client screen.

Step 2
At the Select Client screen scan the barcode from the client’s “Club” card. This will bring their name to the top of the screen. Hit Done and complete the rest of the appointment as normal.

Using the Client’s barcode at Point of Sale…

Step 1
At Point of Sale scan the barcode from the client’s “Club” card. This will add their name to Customer at Point of Sale and will display any services completed for them on that day from the Appointment Book.

If the client was not previously booked in, scan the barcode at Point of Sale and simply select the Employee name and service or product that the client is paying for and end the transaction as normal.
