KB2450 - Starting up Shortcuts – Application Clash

Problem:
When trying to start up Shortcuts, the following error message appears on the screen:

“Application Clash”

Solution:
1. Hit OK on the Database Warning, it should disappear off the screen. If you are running a network then exit Shortcuts and shutdown all computers.

2. Restart the Server/Main computer only

3. Hit the Windows Start Button (or hold down Ctrl and then press Esc on your keyboard)

4. Select Search, then select All Files or Folders

5. In the File name box type *.net

6. In the Look in box select Local Hard Drives (C:) and then hit Search

7. The system will come up with any net files it finds, you need to delete the following file Pdoxusrs.net (to delete the file, simply click on it so it is highlighted and then hit Delete on your keyboard)

8. Now do the same again for *.lck files, delete any files it finds

9. Now restart Shortcuts, if running a network, restart the other computers now.
