Question: For example, if a client has 35 points and is having a service for $72.60
You choose to redeem 35 points but the price changes to $69.10, should it not be less $35.00? And why has the GST figure changed?
Answer: The total price for the item is $72.60, you decide to use 35 points, so therefore the system takes off the GST amount off the 35 points. Which leaves the total $69.10 and the new GST amount as $3.10 (Providing the tax is set to 10%).
Note that the total column is showing you what the customer is expected to pay for the item, you will notice on the bottom of the screen it will say received $35.00.
Remember the customer is only paying for part of the service with points, so the GST is only removed for the percentage on which they are paying by points. So if they are paying $35 on points then there is $3.50 less GST to pay. Thus the $3.50 less total. |
