The new way to leave a tip

Did you know that 87%of Brits tip and 74% consider themselves generous tippers?

Today – we can pay for most things with plastic except those we appreciate and make our day. We are slowly becoming a cashless society and the service industry is missing out. Waiters, bartenders taxi-drivers seem to still get a cash tip but we have find that many companies in the hair and beauty industry do not seem to get their fair share. How well is your salon performing in the tipping war? Do you and your staff get the tips their good service deserves?

If your answer is ‘no’, ‘maybe’ or ‘I don’t know’ then more than likely it is either:

1. Your customers simply do not always have the cash to leave a tip.

or:

2. Your business does not facilitate tipping via card machines because according to HMRC guidelines, as soon as gratuity goes through the business, the proprietor is liable to run PAYE for everyone who benefits from these tips. Not only an administrative cost occurs but the staff and the business have to pay National Insurance on tips because the transaction has been processed via card machine.

Gratuu are changing the way we tip.

Now your customers have an alternative way to tip – directly in yours or your staff’s bank accounts via their mobile device.

They can either send a tip to a single member of staff or to an automated ‘virtual tip-jar’ if your staff share their tips.

It is free to implement in your business and it only takes few minutes for staff to sign up.

Yes, it is as easy as it sounds.

Contact Gratuu to find out more.

“I love this idea! The art of tipping is disappearing for various reasons. Many customers want to tip but don’t have the cash and we can’t take tips on card machine.”

– Fiona of Urban Angels Didsbury hairdressers

“We are pleased to be an active participant in the development of a service that can create an improved customer experience for our clients.”

– Roxy the owner of Rox Men’s Salon

Refresh, Revive, Reset: Journey to a Better You

We all love a good makeover story. The feeling of polishing something that’s past it’s prime to make it shiny and new again. We all need our Mia Thermopolis moment in the Princess Diaries when the hand-held mirrors part ways to reveal the new and improved Princess of Genovia.
