National Hairdresser Appreciation Day

It’s that time of the year again! Celebrating those hard working stylists for National Hairdresser Appreciation Day.

This year, National Hairdresser Day falls on Sunday 30th April – so we thought we’d give you guys some ideas of how to celebrate it in your salon and in-turn help you promote your business.

Here’s some fun ideas of what you could do:

Competition

Follow in Shortcuts footsteps and hold your very own competition. We opted for a front of house competition – to celebrate the person who goes above and beyond to ensure the salon runs smoothly and the clients leave happy! If you haven’t already voted you can here:

Vote for your front of house

You could hold a little competition between you and your staff. Using email and social media, get your clients to nominate their favourite stylist. Simply tweet and post to your followers and get your clients to tag their favourite stylist and offer a prize to anyone who nominates. Heat up the competition by giving the winner a gift of some sort. Boost your team morale, increase visitors and get your clients talking about you.

Event

Amazingly – this year it falls on a Sunday so you could host your very own Appreciation Day party. Throwing an event is so easy these days. Advertise on social media, send out an email campaign and create an event on Facebook inviting all your followers. It’s that easy! If you have time – print some flyers and posters for inside your salon – even better! You could advertise a champagne reception, nibbles and discounted specials – a National Hairdresser Appreciation Weekend Special perhaps!

It’s just the perfect excuse to throw a fantastic event.

Specials

It’s the ideal opportunity to offer discounts and specials to your clients. A simple 20% off your next treatment will get floods of clients coming through the doors. Or offer a free gift card to anyone who spends £x in store before 30th April – just like Woohoo Salon did in their GIFT CARD EXTRAVAGANZA.

Whatever you choose to do to celebrate your day – we hope you enjoy it. You deserve it.
